Our Family Funeral Home

Unlike many funeral homes in Brisbane that are corporate-owned and less personalised, we are proudly 100% family-owned.

From your first interaction with us to the final farewell, our mission is to give you a sense of extended family that you know you can lean on when you need it most.

With a gentle, more nurturing approach, we provide dignified funeral care for your loved one, warmth, compassionate support and guidance for you and your family.

We will help you add the personal touches that show what life meant for them and what they meant to you. Helping you create a farewell your loved one deserves and your family will cherish in a beautiful location of your choosing.

Our Service

We can help with honest and reliable funeral services no matter what your wishes or budget might be.

There are many considerations and steps to take when planning a funeral service, which you can read about on our funeral planning page.

We are experienced funeral providers and will help with all types of services, including:

Non-Denominational (Non-Religious)

If your loved one was not a follower of any particular faith, a service could be at a private chapel, a memorial or council park. There are also non-traditional locations such as a beach, public function venue, a family home, anywhere you choose within reason. Non-traditional locations can offer more flexibility as to how a service can be organised and conducted.

Denominational (Religious)

We welcome families of all faiths and take pride in our experience with most religions, beliefs, customs and cultures. If you or your family have a preferred church, chapel, temple or place of worship, we will liaise with the leaders of your preference to take care of all your wishes.

There are times when specialised services are required, such as returned servicemen and women, repatriations for loved ones overseas and interstate. We can assist with children, babies and most cultures. Every situation and service is unique.

If you have questions about a particular special service requirement, please call us on (07) 3279 5388.

Options and Costs

Ensuring your loved one receives the best farewell possible whilst keeping within your budget is an important consideration. There are fixed and optional costs depending on the type of funeral, location and the wishes of your loved one and family. You can read more about this and view our pricing guide on our funeral costs page. We will guide you through the options, creating a detailed, itemised list with prices for you to confirm before we finalise everything.

Traditional Burials

Many people still prefer a traditional burial over cremation. Some families already have a burial plot or generational site organised to be alongside other relatives. If you don’t have one organised, we can help, whether for a council, public or privately owned cemetery.

Cremation Services

Cremation funerals are a meaningful and popular way to say goodbye to a loved one. Not only is cremation less costly compared to burial, but it also provides greater flexibility around the service. Families can memorialise the ashes within a family mausoleum or scatter them at a suitable location of their choosing.

Prepaid Plans

Paying in advance is a popular and considerate option these days. It ensures your family won’t overpay in the future and have the extra burden of making last-minute arrangements in their time of grief. We have a lot of experience in this area and are happy to answer all your questions.

Commonly Asked Questions

What is your Role?

Funerals can be stressful and emotionally difficult to handle during a time of grief. A funeral director is responsible for the planning and coordination of services that meet the needs of the family and the wishes of the loved one. We assist with every aspect, from the transfer of your loved one, the planning, to the wake and the legal forms and documentation required. We provide the full support and guidance needed to alleviate the burden of trying to handle too much yourself.

What is the difference between a home and a parlour?

They essentially mean the same thing. The name ‘parlour’ (also known as a ‘parlor’) is an old traditional term used after the American Civil War. The deceased were displayed in the parlour of a family home for people to pay their respects before burial. Over time, the name funeral home became commonplace in countries such as Australia.

What makes you different?

We are a family-run business dedicated to providing a level of service that is beyond expectation regardless of budget.
We care for you ourselves, so you don’t get shuffled around from one staff member to the next. When compared against large corporate-owned companies, our level of attention, personalised service and reasonable costs are second to none.
